Hello,
We need some suggestion with pumps. for our experiments, we need to rapidly change tubing of the peristaltic pumps, and we want to connect OEM peristaltic pump (RS485 control, please see the link below).
https://langerinstruments.com/oemperistalticpumpmicroflowratet60-p-26.html
We have connected this pump to Pump coms board, and tested one pump. It worked fine. Now we are planning to get more of the pump coms board from PCBway, and attach these particular peristaltic pumps, to all our reactors.
Please suggest if you think there is any problem to this strategy. We will be most grateful to receive your valuable suggestions.

Thanks for reaching out. That sounds very interesting – so you directly connected it to the power output of the comms board and all seems fine?
If that is the case I see no reason why you cannot continue doing so. Technically that pump seems to say the minimum voltage is ~11 whereas the pump board only supplies six – however – generally if it is working with a lower voltage it will just move more slowly.Ordering the PCB boards from PCBway would be fine. Some of the chips are a bit fiddly to solder but I have actually put a guide for this in the hardware self-setup document.
So, I’d say if it works go for it!

Wonderful to hear from you. Yes I directly connected the power output of the coms board to my peristaltic pumps and it worked absolutely fine. Yes, as it gets 6 volts from the pump coms board, it runs a bit slower, but that is not a big problem with my experiments. These pumps allow rapid exchange of peristaltic tubing, which we absolutely needed.
I have requested PCBway to do the assembly for me, as I am not an expert.
I have also requested PCBway to edit the pump coms board boundary to rectangle, without any cuts (where on board peristaltic pumps used to go)
As a suggestion for future development, I think having the basic design of pump coms board , which compact rectangular margin will be helpful, and you may consider having it on ChiBIO website. As part of community, I can also share PCBway order number for future references, if anyone wants to use our strategy.
I will keep you updated.
With best regards,

I am happy to let you know that modified PCB are coming form PCBway, new peristalttic pumps also on the way. We are really excited about this, and looking forward to do many experiments.
